North Sound area
of Virgin Gorda
in the British Virgin Islands

The North Sound of Virgin Gorda, one of the loveliest regions of the Caribbean, provides a large protected area for watersports of all kinds.  Snorkelers have numerous coral reefs to explore; windsurfers and sailors love the constant gentle tradewinds; visitors can water ski and parasail too.

Many of the small islands such as Prickly Pear have beautiful beaches for swimming and beachcombing.  Bonefishing and reef fishing is good in many areas too.

The North Sound is also home to several excellent resorts -- Biras Creek Resort, the Bitter End Yacht Club, Leverick Bay, and Drakes Anchorage Inn.

Bitter End has sailboats of all kinds and flavors for guests to use or rent, plus windsurfers.

Biras Creek is famous for their fleet of small Boston Whalers which guests can use to explore and snorkel protected areas of the North Sound.  They also have windsurfers and small sailboats for watersports in Deep Bay.

Leverick Bay has parasailing available and also rents small motor boats, sailboats, and windsurfers.

Scuba Divers will find two operations, one based at Bitter End and the other at Leverick Bay.  Both also serve Biras Creek Resort.
