Many of Corpus Christi's hotels and motels are located near the water with outstanding views of the bay. Corpus Christi Beach is north of the downtown area and is linked by a high bridge over the port. The Texas State Aquarium is located there as is the USS Lexington, a floating museum. The Radisson Hotel is right
on the beach and has both tower and garden types of rooms.
Several hotels are in the downtown area and most are located on Shoreline Boulevard overlooking the bay, seawall, and yacht harbor. They provide a wide range of rates and types of accommodations. The
V Boutique Hotel is a small, outstanding luxury hotel. Located
above one of Corpus Christi's top restaurants, Vietnam, it has crisp decor,
and an excellent staff. Definitely my favorite in this city!
The two Omni hotels are the most upscale, but rooms are average size unless you book a suite. The Holiday Inn Emerald Beach is the only downtown hotel located on a beach and each room has view of the bay. It also sports a "holidome" with an indoor pool and adjacent lounge area. A raised sundeck overlooks the beach and has a cute bar. This is definitely a fun place to stay and a big hit with families. Couples would enjoy their waterside cabana rooms. |
